Send a short proposal about a focused subject: for example, a beauty term readers may misread, the history of a tool or custom, the choices behind a visual image, or a thoughtful comparison of product formats. Tell us the central question, why it matters to our readers and what your piece would help them understand.

What makes a strong contribution

Good pitches are specific, original and grounded in material that can be checked. They avoid unsupported results claims, personal prescriptions and disguised advertising. Disclose relevant interests or commercial connections when you pitch. Do not send confidential information or assume that a proposal will be commissioned.
